Conan Daley

First and foremost I love getting out and riding my bike!

Since joining the Melbourne Fire Brigade in 2003, I took up cycling for fitness for both the job and playing football. After a broken jaw on the footy field and related time off work it was time to hang up the boots. Beginning with social riding with workmates to taking it up a notch to now race at A grade level on the road and track, and race the mountain bike in endurance events such as the Otway Odyssey.

I completed the Melbourne to Warrnambool the past two years in fairly tough conditions, and had a win in my first ever mountain bike race.

A proud achievement was being part of a team of 12 fire-fighters that rode around Australia in 25 days in a continuous relay for charity. It was a great experience seeing our great country from the seat of a bike and raising awareness for mens health.

As a Level 1 coach at Lead Out Cycling it enables me to share my passion for cycling and give back to the sport.

Big thanks go to the team at Bicycles Inc. South Yarra for all of their support.
