Jess Douglas Set To Defend Solo National 24 Hour Crown
World Solo 24 hour Champ Jess Douglas will travel to Canberra this weekend to defend her Solo National 24 Hour title at Mount Stromlo in the ACT. Jess won the National title last year at Majura Pines with a total of 38 laps to defeat 2nd place rider Claire Graydon. The Mount Stromlo course should suit Jess as it's the same place where she won the 24 Hours of Adrenalin World Solo Championships in October 2010.
Jess will also tackle Mount Stromlo aboard her new bike which is a brand new Giant Anthem X Advanced SL 0. The 4-inch Maestro full carbon frame and Shimano XTR equipped bike will help keep Jess comfortable into the early hours of Sunday morning when she comes into her own in these 24 hour events. Jess' initial impressions of the bike are that it's amazing and that the QR15 front end gives her a great amount of confidence descending.
Giant Australia wishes Jess and Norm Douglas the best of luck for the race this weekend, you have our full support!
