I have got three ducks and two quails but since they are ground living birds they don't have much balance on perches. I tried to get my favourite duck to sit on the handelbar of by bike but she couldn't stay on!!!

I used to ride around with my ferret in a little backpack and he'd stand up with his head out, paws on my shoulder and when he got tired of smelling stuff whizz by, he'd curl up and sleep. We tried a basket on the front but it just wasn't cozy enough, too breezy, to escapable, too chewy

I adopted a husky from the pound 4 years ago. I got him a harness made and one for my blue heeler then hook them up to the front of the bike. Scary experience as they don't often run straight or go around corners very well but a lot of fun if I manage to stay on the bike!

How do you do it. If I have both my jackies on one bike they can pull me of it and they only weigh 7 kg.

Hi! I have an adopted ex-racing greyhound named Miki. He love it when I get out the Walkydog and we head off for a bike ride together. Being a sprinter, however, he doesn't have much stamina, so we only go for short rides - or longer rides with lots of rest stops. :-)

We have two Jack Russels that love going for a run. They know when they are going because I hook the croozer (enclosed trailer) onto the back of my bike. This is for when they get tired, we stop, put them in the croozer and continue on our way until they let us know when they want to run again. With the extra weight on the back of the bike it makes for a good work out ,so we are all happy.

I take mine for rides occasionally, round Sydney Park. He's a whippet named Rabbit, and he's a lazy little bugger. Last time round he stopped after less than 5kms and demanded to go back to the car. I did a couple more laps then took him home, where he made a big show of being "tired".

Since this post, I've added an italian greyhound to the stable, which means now I have *two* lazy dogs that stop at 5km and refuse to go on. I can't win.

My beast is a Staffy x Blue Heeler - He is good for 10 klms at 25 - 35kmh (speed depends on me) with a top speed somewhere north of 40km/h. He loves a run and doest know when to quit.

I have a Terrier X named Dawson (shhh I was young and impressionable) and a Chihuahua X named Tofu with the cutest white socks. They're little pocket rockets and I'm amazed that they can keep up with me on every ride!

Will post up a picture of them once they've been primped, the little monsters love rolling around in the mud.
