I live in a hilly part of Adelaide, good local road riding with some quality mtb tracks pretty close (Flinders). The Southern Vales is a blast with good hills (Willunga Hill for eg.) but even riding up through the Adelaide Hills to Hahndorf is a good ride with good food and coffee at the turn around point. TDU is a great event to have here in SA. I would believe nearly every state could argue its location as Australia in general has some quality riding all over the place but it works well in SA.

And as for a good cyclist friendly cafe/ bakery highly recommend Williamstown corner bakery, great service always happy and willing to fill up bottles, much appreciated on those warmer spins around the kersbrook checker hill loop!!
