I admit there is nothing wrong with looking at your bike lovingly. I look at my 1990 Steel Colnago I restored. She is beautiful. I fact I just snuck a peak then. She is in my photo's. Also I have a 1975 Raleigh I am fixing up as a Fixie. I look at her a lot too. A friend of mine got caught looking at his Bianchi. Hi wife said " you used to look at me that way". KAPOW!

When my bike comes to work and it is raining, I will bring it into my office and wipe the rain off it. My partner gets upset that I pay my bike more attention then I do to her. At night I will bring my bike into the house and not leave it in the shed. I wash her (yes I have given it a gender) every weekend without fail and spend about 3 hrs ensuring she is clean from wheel to seat.

I hope you let your wife in the house and don't leave her in the shed, or out in the rain and I'm not sure how I'd feel if someone wiped the rain off me...I think it might be weird. It would really burn if you left flowers and chocolates on the handlebars.

I secretly perve on the bike owned by another bloke in my office. Wouldn't mind a Carbon roadie that's for sure. I even compare the weight of his compared to mine - every couple of days. Still a few kgs lighter I'd say.

whenever i see my fixie, (old steel frame, no rear brake sooo sleek)
it surprises me just how damn good it looks.
but with my mountain bike,
the attraction is deeper than the surface
