I am an absolute sucker for apple-pie & ice-cream (make a fair sort of apple-pie meself, actually)
& must confess a LARGE weakness for red wine & chocolate.
Funny thing: the BIG difference between my brother & myself, though we share the same 'weaknesses',
I ride 200klms per week: he doesn't.
He weighs about 30kg more than me: nuff said.

My wife is quite a good rider and after any big race she has the "double it" rule.
Basically however long the race was, then double that and that's how long you can eat whatever you like for.
She's done a number of 24 hour MTB events so... well you get the picture.

I lost loads of kilos when I was riding regularly, it just falls off and you don't even notice how much energy you're putting in because it's so much fun. I can attest to a dramatic difference when you're not riding. I haven't been able to ride for a bit and like a marching war drum over the hills, here come the kilos...two by two by two. Got to get a baby friendly bike quick smart!!!! I want to eat freely again, I want to ride freely and fly back into health and my old jeans. Never stop riding people, not if you can help it.
